Praline Soother

Praline Soother

This recipe for Praline Soother is the only recipe we can find in the Hotel Chocolat magazine that fits in with the Hot Cocktails theme. When I say recipe, I mean it just says Vodka, chocolate, hazelnuts and cream so I have had to spend many hours testing and checking different variations on the theme because I know you want it easy to make.

I’ve tried hazelnut syrup, praline syrup, various hot chocolates, both instant and fancy and they all work but for the easiest recipe possible I reached for a jar of Nutella. I also discovered that Hotel Chocolat use coconut milk.

Ingredients:

  • 50ml Vodka
  • 2 tsp Nutella
  • Coconut milk to fill

Method:

  1. Put the vodka and Nutella into your Milk Frother and then top up with coconut milk to the max mark.
  2. Replace the lid and then press the start button and wait until finished.
  3. Meanwhile, heat up your glass using hot water from a kettle.
  4. When your milk frother has finished, empty the water out of the glass and fill with your Hot Cocktail.
  5. Enjoy your Praline Soother.

Mark’s Top Tip: I’m pretty certain that Hotel Chocolat don’t make their Praline Soother Cocktail this way. My preference is for 50/50 coconut milk and milk or replacing the vodka with Malibu and forgetting about the coconut milk.
