Sex on the beach is a classic cocktail and on a hot sunny day is a fantastic cooling drink so we’ve bought it up to date and given it our little hot tweak. According to the International Bartenders Association, the official recipe contains vodka, peach schnapps, orange and cranberry juice however you can also find recipes including vodka, Chambord, Midori Melon Liqueur, pineapple juice, and cranberry juice or grenadine.
Ingredients:
- 50ml Vodka
- 25ml Peach schnapps
- 2 Oranges, juiced, plus 2 slices to garnish
- Cranberry juice to fill
Method:
- Put all of the ingredients into your Milk Frother and then top up with cranberry juice to the max mark.
- Replace the lid and then press the start button and wait until finished.
- Meanwhile, heat up your glass using hot water from a kettle.
- When your milk frother has finished, empty the water out of the glass and fill with your Hot Cocktail.
- Enjoy your Hot Sex on the Beach.
Mark’s Top Tip: Try some of the versions mentioned above, the pineapple was especially good in which case add at least 120ml. I added some edible gold glitter to my pineapple version which made it look very pretty. Make sure the glitter is designed for adding to drinks, some of the edible glitters are designed for decorating cakes and is sugar-based so it quickly dissolves and the effect is lost. It is pricey so follow the usage instructions so you don’t waste any.
