White Mulled Wine

mulled white wine

As the weather gets colder over the winter months nothing could be better than warming up with a lovely glass of Mulled White Wine. Impress your friends with something a little bit different this year.

I am not that keen on red wine so I was looking around for a warming mulled drink made with white wine and this is the best one I found, which is taken and adapted from the Sainsbury’s website.

Ingredients:

  • Dry white wine
  • 70ml Cider
  • 25ml Winter Spice Syrup
  • Caster sugar
  • a few lemon slices to decorate

Method:

  1. Put the cider and Winter Spice Syrup into a milk frother and then top the liquid level up to the max with white wine.
  2. Replace the lid and press start.
  3. Wait until your milk frother has finished and pour straight into your preheated glass.
  4. Add sugar to taste and decorate your glass with a slice of lemon.
  5. Enjoy your White Mulled Wine.

Lucy’s Top Tip:– There are so many different types of white wine out there, from sweet dessert wines to the very dry, you could even give it go with champagne for a more celebratory vibe.  My favourite wine for this recipe is a fresh Reisling with its lovely flowery aromas but the possibilities are endless.
