Do you remember the fun you had picking sloes on your autumn walks in the country? Do you remember all those bottles of sloe gin you have maturing in the broom cupboard? Now’s the time to get them out and make yourself a lovely warming Mulled Sloe Gin.
This was so simple to prepare. For a luxurious feel add a smidgen of edible gold glitter, 1/4 tsp would be more than enough. If you’ve never tried making sloe gin here is a link to our simplified homemade version. Watch this video on adding edible glitters to liqueurs.
Ingredients:
- 50ml Sloe Gin
- 80ml orange juice
- 1 tsp cranberry jelly (optional)
- Any festive spices of your choice: try cinnamon, cloves or cardamom pods
- Apple juice to fill
- Orange slices to garnish
Method:
- Add the sloe gin, orange juice, jelly and spices to a milk frother and then top the liquid level up to the max with apple juice.
- Replace the lid and press start.
- Wait until your milk frother has finished and pour straight into your glass.
- Garnish with orange slices.
- Enjoy your Mulled Sloe Gin.
Lucy’s Top Tip:– Sloes are not only for gin! You can put them in any spirit of your choice, just follow your normal sloe gin recipe and substitute gin for whatever you fancy.
