Jen’s Creamy Sighs is fairly similar to the ABC Hot Cocktail listed elsewhere in that it has Ameretto and Baileys but the orange from the Grand Marnier and the coffee takes the taste off into another direction. This would be the perfect drink for an afternoon break, sitting in the sun and enjoying the company of your friends.
I’ve tried finding out some background information on this cocktail but have drawn a blank so far. It seems to be listed as a cold cocktail in many places with exactly the same ingredients and method and as a hot cocktail in just a couple of places. Searching for Jen’s Creamy Sighs history gave me a recipe for Jen’s Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes! Who was Jen?
Ingredients:
- 25ml Ameretto
- 25ml Baileys
- 25ml Grand Marnier
- Coffee to fill.
Method:
- Just add all the liquid ingredients using the coffee to make up to the max fill line in your milk frother.
- Replace the lid and press start.
- Wait until your milk frother has finished and pour straight into your glass.
- I’ve tried adding a sprinkle of nutmeg, might have added too much as it clumped on the top!
- Enjoy Jen’s Creamy Sighs.
Mark’s Top Tip:– I was very struck by the similarity between this Hot Cocktail and our version of ABC Hot Cocktail. The Have a Cocktail website has a similar recipe to this but float cream on top and then add in the Grand Marnier to float on top of the cream.
