Let’s go back in time to the groovy ’70s for a retro dessert based cocktail called Hot Pineapple Upside Down Cocktail. I’m sure you all remember the dessert cake of the same name so why not try making it at home with all those flavours to take you dancing down memory lane.
Ingredients:
- 25ml White rum
- 25ml Banana syrup
- 25ml Cherry brandy
- Pineapple juice to fill
- Double cream to top
- Glace cherry to garnish
Method:
- Put the rum, banana syrup and cherry brandy into your Milk Frother and then top up with pineapple juice to the max mark.
- Replace the lid and then press the start button and wait until finished.
- Meanwhile, heat up your glass using hot water from a kettle.
- When your milk frother has finished, empty the water out of the glass and fill with your delicious Hot Cocktail.
- Carefully pour the double cream over the top and garnish with a glace cherry
- Enjoy your Hot Pineapple Upside Down Cocktail.
Lucy’s Top Tip: To make this look even more authentic, decorate it with a wedge of fresh pineapple and cherry and just pretend that you’re sitting on a sandy beach watching the sun go down over the ocean.
