Grapefruit Paloma

Grapefruit Paloma

Did you know that grapefruit juice is not just for breakfast? Try this delicious, warming, Grapefruit Paloma and you’ll be looking for grapefruit juice at all times of the day!

The Paloma is normally a tequila-based cocktail. This drink is most commonly prepared by mixing tequila, lime juice, and a grapefruit-flavoured soda such as Fresca, Squirt, or Jarritos and is served on the rocks with a lime wedge. Adding salt to the rim of the glass is also an option.

Ingredients:

  • 50ml Tequila
  • 50ml Pink Grapefruit juice
  • Splash of Lime juice
  • 25ml Maple Syrup
  • Lemonade to fill
  • Grapefruit wedge to garnish

Method:

  1. Put everything into your Milk Frother and then top up with lemonade to the max mark.
  2. Replace the lid and then press the start button and wait until finished.
  3. Meanwhile, heat up your glass using hot water from a kettle.
  4. When your milk frother has finished, empty the water out of the glass and fill with your Hot Cocktail.
  5. Enjoy your Grapefruit Paloma garnished with a grapefruit wedge.

Lucy’s Top Tip: This would work just as well if you switched the tequila with vodka or white rum for a subtle change. Tescos do sell a sparkling grapefruit crush called ‘Ting’ which will be in the Caribbean Foods aisle and it’s only 37p!! Use it to replace the grapefruit juice, lime juice and lemonade, you may need to adjust the maple syrup quantities to suit your sweet tooth.
